Hello,
This is a guide to a self install for ADSL in New Zealand. It's $80 cheaper than getting the telecom engineer to do it.
I got hold of a splitter (figure 1.). Apparently these are rarer than rocking horse shit.
All I had to do was politely ask a telecom engineer for one. Good manners go a long way.

Plug the phone in and call Liquor King 0800 7467 625.
Plug ADSL router in and go to www.lk.co.nz . Take my advice though, do not order over the telephone or internet as drink'll take at least a day to get to you. Go the old fashioned way by foot. You'll have your thirst quenched much sooner!

P.S. I don't know a lot about electrics so if I was meant to get electrocuted doing this shit, I didn't. I got lucky. So you might want to check out some safety precautions.
